Hi, I’m Alia, the General Manager of The Kulshan Hotel. I’ve had the unique opportunity to be part of this property since before we even opened our doors; getting to see it come to life has been incredibly rewarding. What I’m most proud of, though, is the team we’ve built. There’s genuine care here that shows up in the way we welcome our guests, support one another, and pay attention to the small details that make a stay feel effortless. It’s not just about doing the job, it’s about creating an experience people remember for the right reasons.

One of the things that really sets us apart is how comfortable and functional our spaces are. Every room includes a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, which gives our guests the flexibility to settle in and make the space their own, whether they’re here for a quick visit or an extended stay. It’s something people don’t always expect but quickly come to appreciate. We also offer a hot continental breakfast each morning that goes beyond the basics, with options that are warm, satisfying, and a great way to start the day.

Our location makes it easy to experience some of the best in the Pacific Northwest. Within a couple of hours, guests can explore North Cascades National Park, head up to Mount Baker for year-round adventure, or even spend the day whale watching in the San Juan Islands. It makes us a great home base for both relaxation and exploration. At the end of the day, what I hope guests remember most is how they felt staying with us, comfortable, welcomed, and genuinely taken care of. That’s always been the goal from the very beginning, and it’s something we continue to focus on every single day.
