Warren brings twenty-one years of experience with IHG hotels, Best Western, and Choice Hotels to his role as Director of Hotel Performances & Standards with Hotel Services Group.   Throughout his career, Warren has been actively involved in all day-to-day operations of hotels, is skilled in strategic planning, financial management, and developing highly effective teams all while continually improving customer satisfaction ratings.  Warren brings with him a desire to mentor and help others grow and develop their careers in the hospitality industry.  Guiding team members, he has successfully achieved peak performance at his properties in revenue management, guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and ensuring all brand standards were followed.

 

Warren was born in Orlando, Florida but grew up in Casper, Wyoming.  In 1980 he joined the US Navy and had a career as a cook and food service manager for fourteen years, then as a Naval Career Counselor for six years before retiring as a US Navy Chief in January of 2000.  After serving his country in the navy, Warren began his career in hotel management as an Assistant General Manager of a Comfort Inn, in Idaho Falls, ID. Within six months he was promoted to his first General Manager position at a Holiday Inn Express, in Twin Falls, ID. Moving to Washington State, he transitioned to a position with Sonmar Management as a General Manager of two hotels in Bothell, WA, before being promoted to Vice President of Operations with the company.

 

Warren first joined The Hotel Services Group LLC in March of 2012 as the General Manager of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Everett, WA.  Shortly thereafter, that hotel location was sold to SMJ Management and Warren remained with the new company as General Manager of the property.  Being recognized for his many talents, he was made the Vice President of Operations for SMJ Management where he served for 8 years in that position before moving to the Hotel Services Group in his current capacity of Director of Hotel Performances & Standards

 

Warren is actively involved in the Washington Hospitality Association and has been on the Executive Board for over five years. His industry advocacy and engagement included service as the Chair of the Board of the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau, was instrumental in creating the Tourism Promotion Area funding source, governance and processes for Snohomish County, and has been active with the Snohomish County Lodging Association.

 

Warren resides with his wife Diane and their little dog Willow in Everett, WA.
